How many people ask themselves what is this IME mode setting when creating a field?

When IME Mode is enabled it allows users to enter characters from East Asian languages like Japanese and Chinese.

Bonus facts;

IME is an acronym for Input Method Editor
The IME Mode setting is for legacy, classic interface. The setting has no impact on the modern unified interface.
The IME setting is only supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer.
